Inspired by their travels to Central and South America, owners Michael Boland and Deirdre Swords opened Havana 15 years ago with the intention of integrating a New England sensibility with the best of Latin culture and cuisine.
Mark “Duffy” Dyer presides over the bar and is the magic behind Havana’s legendary Mojitos.Bar Tender Extraordinar. Duffy has been with Havana since it’s opening. He is well known and so is his beard. He is also the host of a local radio program on WERU in Blue Hill and has the knowledge and know-how to select the perfect music played at the restaurant.
Executive chef of Havana. Cassady has a rich culinary background and has worked with Michael for a number of years. They make every effort to ensure they use locally harvested and sustainable
produce meats and seafood.
